My name is Samah; I was born on 1/1/2018 in Deir Ezzor. I lost my daddy in the brutal bombing of our city in 2017. My family was displaced to the Aleppo countryside, where we live in dire poverty, relying on some help we may get from our relatives. Today, I live with my mother, my stepmother and my nine siblings in a three-room house. My mother tries hard every day to make a living although she has pain in the neck and backbone, which often hinders her when getting up. I love my school very much and dream of becoming a teacher.
