Safiya was born on 4/6/2012 in Aleppo. In 2013, her father was arrested and then murdered, and his body was dumped in the Queiq River in Aleppo. Her mother also passed away during the siege of Al-Sukkari neighborhood of Aleppo. Safiya and her two sisters Aisha and Sumaiya currently live with their aunt after they were forcibly displaced and ended up in a camp.
