Aya, a seven-year-old girl, is a quiet, well-mannered, and active first-grader who loves learning and having fun. She lives with her parents in a home that used to be cramped, and their previous home was very damp and a source of illness. Aya’s family faced many hardships during their displacement, moving from one residence to another, even living in tents. No one can overlook the harshness and ugliness of life in a tent. Fortunately, their suffering didn’t last long—Mulem Volunteer Team reached Aya’s family and relocated them to the village of Mulem. Aya was overjoyed, especially because a beautiful school, Gaza School, awaited her. Now, Aya has friends, goes to her class every day with her books in hand, and dreams of one day becoming a doctor.
