Hajar, born in 1987, was displaced with her two small children after her husband was arrested and she lost contact with him. She moved to Turkey two years ago to live in Mersin in a small rental house with tough living conditions due to the present high cost of living and the loss of a breadwinner. Hajar works as much as she can to fulfill the requirements of her house and her children, but her earnings barely cover the rent and a few necessities.
