The earthquake deprived Mays from her home and killed her husband who died in the hospital two days after he was pulled alive from under the rubble. Later, Mays was forced to move with her children from Antioch to Konya asking for their uncle's help. Mays stands now helpless trying to secure her kids' needs; the family relies on humanitarian aid and live in an old house that lacks furniture. Debts have accumulated on the family, and they have no one to support them except for her late husband's nephew who pays school fees and some allowance.
