Talal and Batul are innocent children who live with their family in the Eastern Ghouta in Syria and were born with thalassemia. These children are used to constantly undergo a blood transfusion procedure and take some medicines to modify the amount of iron in the body. Unfortunately, thalassemia resulted in a significant delay in their growth and facial pallor. Moreover, due to an inflammation of the spleen, Batul underwent a splenectomy and stopped blood transfusion. She is in need of intense therapy.
