In a small room with very modest furnishings, Aunt Maryam lives with her son, who has Down syndrome, enduring harsh living conditions after a journey of displacement and hardship. She left behind her memories and life, moving to Arsal after the death of her husband. Maryam currently suffers from severe hearing loss, with 70% impairment, and is in urgent need of hearing aids.
