Nesreen endured unbearable pain after undergoing several life-threatening surgeries, including the removal of a tumor in her foot, followed by a procedure to correct a leg deformity. To save her, her family sacrificed everything to afford medication and cover treatment costs, despite living in a camp that lacks the most basic necessities of a dignified life. Their shelter barely protects them from the weather and offers no sense of safety or comfort. Although the surgeries were successful, Nesreen still requires ongoing medical care and rehabilitation to regain her ability to walk and live normally.
