In the heart of the camp, Aunt Huda and her son endure the years of displacement as if they were a lifetime of suffering, after being forced to flee their city due to heavy shelling. They live without income or a source of livelihood, facing the harsh winter without heating and in extremely difficult living conditions. With deep anguish, Aunt Huda says: “We’ve been displaced for 10 years, living in this tent. We have nothing and are sleeping in darkness... We have so much debt and don’t know where to start.” Under a tent that neither shields from the cold nor protects from the darkness, Aunt Huda and her son desperately need someone to support and assist them in their plight.
