Iyad, born in 1972, lives with his family in his brother’s home in rural Damascus, as his brother is living abroad. The family faces a difficult living situation in a house that lacks many basic necessities. After spending 12 years in prison, Iyad returned to find himself caught in a cycle of hardship, burdened with debt and his wife’s battle with cancer.
