Histoire
Since birth, Youssef has struggled with the effects of oxygen deficiency and a severe drop in blood sugar, which resulted in damage to 80% of the white matter in his brain. This caused cerebral atrophy that impaired his ability to sit, move, and speak. He also suffers from limb hypotonia, two holes in his heart, kidney problems, nephrotic syndrome, and chronic asthma—all of which make his condition even more complex.
Despite his parents’ tireless efforts to provide care, his treatment has been halted for months due to their inability to afford medication or consult a specialist.
Each moment of delay deepens his suffering and reduces the chances of improving his condition.
