In Ramadan 2025, Aunt Sobhieh was diagnosed with lung cancer after months of struggling with shortness of breath and chest pain. Thanks to the generosity of kind donors, she was able to undergo a biopsy in Damascus and receive several chemotherapy sessions. Later, she moved to Tishreen Hospital in Latakia to reduce the costs of treatment and travel. Today, she is preparing for a month of daily radiation sessions, provided free of charge, but she urgently needs medical scans and lab tests to assess her progress and continue her treatment effectively. Her husband is unable to work, and their modest home barely shelters them. Her daughter tries tirelessly to cover what she can, but the burden is too heavy alone. Together, we can give Sobhieh the chance to breathe freely again, to fight her illness with dignity and hope.
