Aunt Aya suffers from an injury in her left hip joint after surviving under the rubble of the 2023 Turkey earthquake, the day she lost her husband and her child’s leg was amputated. Today, she lives with her children in camps in northern Syria under harsh conditions, unable to continue her treatment or afford the medical tests recommended by doctors. The family lives in a modest tent after a long displacement journey between Syria and Turkey, surrounded by loss, illness, and hardship. Providing treatment and medical tests for Aya could ease her physical pain and give her the strength to continue caring for her children amidst this harsh life.
