Aram’s suffering began when blue spots appeared on his body, along with frequent nosebleeds. After a series of exhausting tests, it was confirmed that he has thrombocytopenia—a platelet deficiency that requires regular treatment and meticulous medical care, costs his family simply cannot afford. The family is originally from the village of Qubbat al-Sheikh in the Al-Bab countryside and lives in a modest home with the father, mother, and five children. The father works as a daily laborer with a very limited income that barely covers their food, and with Aram’s treatment needs, the burden grows heavier day after day.
