Bakri is a child living with hemophilia, a chronic blood disorder that causes severe bleeding from even minor injuries. The bleeding can only be controlled with Factor VIII injections, which must always be available at home. Recently, Bakri fell outside his home and suffered a serious hemorrhage that required several days of hospitalization, after his family struggled to obtain the medication. Bakri’s family of four lives in a residential block within the camps of northern Syria under extremely difficult living conditions. His father works for a low and unstable wage that is insufficient to cover the family’s basic needs or the cost of treating his child. Let us stand with Bakri and his family and help them overcome this crisis.
