Tawfiq's family, who were displaced from Aleppo in 2015, lives in a rented two-room house in the city of al-Bab. The family consists of the mother, three children, and the mother’s sister, and they are facing harsh living conditions. The mother works as a cleaner at a gym, earning $50 a month, which barely covers the rent. Due to these pressures, Tawfiq, who is 12 years old, left school to work and help his mother, despite his deep love for learning. His dreams of education are fading day by day.
