Ghina is a child who lost everything but did not lose her dream. After a long journey of displacement from the Hama countryside to Idlib, Ghina lost her father in an airstrike during a battle against the regime. She was only a few months old at the time. Together with her mother and younger sister, she moved to live in her grandfather’s home under extremely difficult conditions. Despite all these hardships, Ghina is a hardworking first-grade student at our school and dreams of becoming a teacher one day, just like her teacher.
