Ghaleb, born in 2013, entered the world an orphan—his father was killed in an airstrike just a month before his birth. He carries his father’s name, a living memory meant to keep him alive in spirit. After being displaced from the town of Al-Hbeit to Idlib, Ghaleb grew up with his mother and siblings in a modest home lacking even the basic necessities of life. Today, he studies in the seventh grade at our school, nurturing a noble dream: to become a doctor and ease the pain of others after experiencing loss so early in his own life.
