Despite the terrible conditions of the war, Safaa's husband abandoned her and divorced her, unconcerned about her or his three children. Safaa and her children relocated to Turkey to live with Safaa's elderly parents, who suffer from chronic diseases. The family of six is living in a small rented house with no breadwinner to help them make a decent living. Safaa works in sewing workshops, but due to her age, it is difficult for her to find a permanent job. Safaa's daughter is working intermittently, although she has severe anemia and a solitary kidney. The aid that the family receives is insufficient to cover their expenses and rent. Their debts have accumulated, and their living situation has deteriorated significantly. They need someone to help them and lessen the burden placed on them.
