Khadija's family in Lebanon is another example of Syrian oppression in exile. Khadija is a widow who suffers from a herniated disc; her children are young, and the eldest of them collects nylon to burn it for warmth.  Their dreams keep growing despite displacement and poverty as the mother and children dream of warmth and protection.
