Ahmed is only five years old. It turned out that he had been suffering from congenital eye cancer. His condition was diagnosed in Syria and then he was referred to Turkey in order to complete the treatment. Ahmed’s treatment journey began in the city of Ankara and the case is handled by a professor because of its complicity, which costs $150 monthly. In several hospitals, they said that Ahmed needed to have the eye removed, but in Ankara Hospital, they said that eye removal was not necessary and he only needed treatment. The child needs several medications in addition to the examination costs, however, the family that lives in a rented house is barely able to pay the rent and is unable to cover the costs of treatment.
