Omar fled his city after his house in Aleppo was completely destroyed; he left his life behind to a place he thought was safer. But then his tragic story began when his feet was amputated in a mine explosion during his displacement. Omar and his family moved from a life full of prosperity and contentment to another life full of poverty and deprivation. He was no longer able to work because of his injury; he now works as a street vendor to secure a small income that barely pays the rent of the dilapidated house he lives in.
