Ahmed has been displaced from Latakia Governorate. He now lives in a tent that lacks the most basic necessities of life after he lost his house in the earthquake disaster. Ahmed has been suffering from diabetes for several years now; it caused him blindness in one of his eyes and paralysis in his lower limbs and is therefore unable to work or move. He also suffers from prostate disease and needs constant medication. The family live in very difficult financial conditions without any source of support or income except for their son who works for a small wage to secure their daily bread.
