The joy of young Mohammed was short-lived after he regained hearing with a cochlear implant. Unfortunately, the connecting cable malfunctioned, leaving him in silence once again, returning to the suffering and deafness that had previously troubled him. Although it's just a cable, the price is far beyond what Mohammed's family can afford. His father earns less than $100 a month and has many dependents, making it impossible for him to cover the cost.
