Shamma, born in 1984, lives in Lebanon with her three children in a small rented room unfit for living, lacking even the basic necessities. Her husband went missing in Syria nearly nine years ago, and to this day, she has heard nothing about him. Bearing the burden of responsibility alone, while she and her daughter suffer from thalassemia, has drained her completely.
