After facing many complex circumstances, Ali's mental health has deteriorated, especially after he and his family flee his hometown at the beginning of the Syrian revolution because of security concerns. His physical health became another burden, with monthly need of medicine that he can't afford. Another concern emerged when his youngest daughter, who had just been born, experienced unstable health.
