In a modest rented home, sister Hala lives with her five children as refugees in one of Syria’s neighboring countries. After the couple's separation, the responsibility of raising and providing for the five children fell entirely on the mother, amid the hardships of refugee life and difficult living conditions. Hala does her best, working in cleaning jobs to cover some of her children’s needs, but what is required exceeds what she can manage.
