Uncle Muhammad lived through the bitterness of displacement with his family of seven for many long years. After liberation, he hurried back to his home—only to be met with a harsh reality: an abandoned, looted house, with a single room that barely shelters everyone and lacks even the basic necessities of life. Uncle Muhammad has no provider but God. His children are young and unable to work; his low salary doesn’t cover the mounting debts, and he himself suffers from a painful slipped disc that prevents him from working regularly. His house could come back to life after repairs, but he needs someone to lend a helping hand and contribute to covering the costs.
