Marwan was born in Damascus with a tired heart carrying three congenital holes, which doctors discovered in his earliest days. As he grew, his condition continued to require prompt intervention through catheterization to close these holes before their danger to his life worsens. The family lives in difficult circumstances. His father, Abdelghani, works as a tailor with a limited income supporting seven people, while at the same time facing his own father’s illness with tuberculosis and his mother’s illness with brain tumors, increasing his psychological burden and his inability to cover the costs of his son’s treatment. Marwan needs an urgent catheterization procedure to close the heart defects, and the family needs help to secure the treatment costs and save their young child’s heart.
