Hikaye
The child Fatima suffers from thalassemia, in addition to enlargement of the liver and spleen, which forces her to undergo blood transfusions twice a month. This weighs heavily on her psychologically and makes her feel embarrassed among her classmates at school, as she struggles to live her childhood despite the pain. Due to the deterioration of her health condition, Fatima urgently needs a splenectomy. However, the procedure requires securing essential vaccinations in advance, including pneumococcal, meningococcal, and Haemophilus influenzae vaccines, which constitute a significant financial burden on her family. Fatima lives with her family, her parents and five siblings, in a simple home with modest furnishings. The family suffers from severe financial hardship due to limited income and the ongoing costs of their daughter’s treatment.
