Jamila lost her father in the first few harsh months of her life as the regime's machinery of oppression continued to commit crimes against civilians in Idlib City. Her father was a victim of the serious shelling of Idlib and neighbouring towns. Jamila relocated to live with her grandmother and her family was forced to evacuate from their village, Al-Maghara, to the city of Idlib because of constant bombings. Jamila is now pursuing her studies at the Idlib Orphans School and hopes for a brighter future.
