In 2012, Molham Volunteering Team was founded by a group of young people who were part of the Syrian tragedy and experienced its bitterness firsthand. They chose to become a source of hope in ending it, after once being among its victims.
The beginning was in a single camp with only a few volunteers. However, as the number of internally and externally displaced people increased, and as they spread across different parts of the world, the scale of need grew significantly. Accordingly, the Team’s work expanded, and its members joined efforts to provide refugees with their basic needs, including food, medical care, and shelter, wherever they were.
As hope began to rise and people gradually returned to their homeland, carrying both longing and hardship, the Team continued its mission by supporting their return—rehabilitating homes, relieving debts, and securing essential needs, contributing to rebuilding lives once again.
Today, Molham Volunteering Team includes more than 450 volunteers, as well as around 150 staff members. The Team takes pride in culminating its humanitarian journey by establishing an organization that bears its name, headquartered in Damascus, with legal authorization and offices in the United States, Germany, and Sweden. Through this institutional framework, the Team seeks to organize and advance its humanitarian work in line with international standards, while strengthening the trust of its donors and supporters around the world.
